For clarity, I consider the standard black plastic blade a factory sight. The fiber optic has a FAT BUTTON...and can't be pushed off muzzle. The faulty fiber sight had to have the button shaved down.
When ordering, just ask for Ryder Fiber Optic Sight. They have streamlined the process. You don't need a part number.
You may have to wait on hold for 5 or more minutes, but it is worth low price. Order 2 just in case. You could always help a buddy.

My 1999 gives much better accuracy now. It kicked in immediately with new fiber sight. The barrel is clean and the moving parts broken in.

After 1,800 BBs, and quick improvement with Fiber sight, I shot it clean with patches treated with FP-10 (load patch first then cock) and after three patches, I used cleaning pellet down full length.
So then I used needle nose with FP-10 for the first power plant lube (oil hole). Just 3 small drops. I shot a few patches again, then loaded up with new magazine of Daisy BBs.
I also lubed trigger directly with FP-10. The gun is shooting very smoothly. The FP-10 treatment in oil hole gave gun smooth operation without any smoking. As I learned in 25, too much FP-10 lead to eratic shooting. A few small drops is perfect. I will shoot it clean after every mag emptied and use needle nose for tiny drops of FP-10. And as long as there is no smoking, I have a winning formula. If it smokes, I will keep it to 1, 200 before oil hole lube. There was no smoke issues with needle nose lube.
FP-10 for barrel, power plant, and trigger treatment, in addition to new sight, gave great results. I have moved away from Ballistol. The German oil still great for wiping down guns.
