TECH NOTES: There are big differences between steel balls loading and lead balls. The magnet makes loading steel from mag fast and easy - whereas with Gamo balls, sometimes, you have to jiggle the gun to help it exit loading ramp. Not a big deal. On the video a Gamo ball got away from me, but in a shooting situation, it hasn't happened.
AS THE GAMO BALLS GET LOW, TOP OFF THE MAG. IT HELPS WITH SMOOTH LOADING, THE OVERHEAD WEIGHT.

LEAD BALL HUNTING
Gamo balls are great for clean up shot after the initial pellet hit. If you can close to 5 or 6 yards, 3 fast pumps will get it done. On a SOUP can, at that range, 3 pumps can punch through one side. On a pop can, on its side, that combo will punch through the botton and out the top.
If you decide to take the shot at 10 yards, go 3 to 5 pumps. On something big, like a rabbit, go 5 pumps at any range.
Actual Hunting Shot
At 7 yards I was able to liquidate a rat on 5 pumps. I needed to put the front sight right on the target, though, to keep it from under shooting.
With a Red Ryder, using an Umarex BB, I actually was able to get an effective head shot on a rat at night, flashlight held under the forearm, at about 4 yards. An 880 on 3 pumps with Gamo ball hits much harder.
