This is a comparison of the clarity and noise of the Live View feed in low light conditions for the Nikon D800 and Canon 5D Mark III. This demonstration is useful for those who rely on Live View for focusing in dark/nighttime conditions. The exposure for my example scene is f/2 1/30 ISO 3200. Both cameras had the same lens mounted for this comparison, a Zeiss 50mm MP, with the aperture set to f/2 (wide-open).
