The Polish village of Białowieża is located in the middle of the Białowieża Forest UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was probably one of the first human settlements in the area. Białowieża means ""White Tower"" in Polish. The name stems from the white wooden hunting manor established in the village by Władysław II Jagiełło, a King of Poland who enjoyed going on hunting trips in the forest. This video shows recordings made in the area during cycling tours. Recordings of a guided visit to the protected part of the forest are shown in a separate video.
