Today we're working on the Cybertruck to install a highly requested accessory: the official Tesla OEM Mud Flaps! I was able to pick this up using the points I earned from my referral code, so a huge thank you to everyone who has used my link.
Mud flaps are a necessity on all my vehicles, and I figured I needed them for the Cybertruck to protect the exoskeleton from road debris or just to look different. This installation was a little more involved than mud flaps on my other EVs. I followed the digital installation manual, which requires turning the wheel and raising the truck to "Extract" height for access.
For the front, it's fairly simple, using the new, longer push pins. The rear, however, requires removing the wheel liner and installing small "U clips" to provide threads for the 10mm bolts to grab onto—definitely a necessary step. Although I don't off-road often, the rare Southern California rain is coming, so these mud flaps will be put to use! They look factory-fresh and really complete the look of the truck.
