Cyan Design Zephyr 60" ceiling fan in aged brass with black leather blades. As featured in my most-recent Product Spotlight video, be sure to check that one out for all the details on Cyan fans if you haven't seen it already. I think this was the collective second-favorite from the launch, and while I would've liked to have brought in one of the more coastal-tropical inspired designs, I really wanted to bring in the items that were seeing top requests because they were of highest interest to me as well. Plenty of time to explore more of the line in the future. This one surprised me a bit in how much I did like every aspect in the end. It's a great unique style, and you all know I'm a sucker for a fabric blade in ANY format, so I was going to *like* it in any case. Not to mention the performance is very good for something like this; it had a lot going for it. However, based on some of the stock images, I wasn't necessarily loving the proportions. The housing seemed kind of excessively tall, especially with the coupler cover factored into the look, and just generally kind of skinny to carry the visual impact of the blade span. This one is, in fact, a prime example of where stock images are not everything, and where I think my videos really make a difference in showing the products from different angles and in motion. At better angles, the proportions are literally perfect, truly I don't think I'd change a thing in terms of the visual design. I don't just like it, I do really love it. Fabric blades always have their faults; these can be a little noisy and occasionally produce a bit of a whistle noise at higher settings, but they do perform very well in terms of fabric blades, so I think it's a fair trade-off. Of course, combined with the great motors and controls, it's an overall standout product and I'm simply thrilled with the direction of the Cyan fan line so far. Can't wait to see what else they do.
