Most door panels are upholstered in its central part where the door handle is. Usually these panels are upholstered or reupholstered in one piece by using stretch bonded fabric or vinyl.

Tha plastic portion of the panel has a concave area. As the fabrics are not stretchable it was necessary to make it in three pieces following the shape of the plastic portion. As you can see in the video the cardstock paper was useful again to make the templates in order to cut the pieces in fabric material.

To remove the plastic portion it was necessary to cut off the rectangular plastic stumps to level. To reattach this plastic piece it was necessary to resort to a trick we teach in our door panel course. Otherwise it would have been very difficult to reinsert it again.
