I want to share a very useful tip in case you need to change a safety belt. The original color comes in 'burgundy color' . The customer wants it in black.
The first step is to inspect the safety belt and mechanism box to know the position of the sliding accessories and other trims. Besides, become aware how the safety belt was wound up.

As you can see in the video I first move and position the 'winding mechanism box' in the position of how it goes in the car. This lets me unblock the inside coil spring and thoroughly slide the safety belt to its beginning.

All the trims and accessories should be removed from the belt. To do so it is necessary to unsew the junctions or old sewings by cutting off the stitches.

Once the belt is clean pull or unroll the old belt to its mere beginning.

To avoid rolling back again it is necessary to tighten the bobbin sides by using small pieces of cardboard as you can see in the video. Now you can work easier.

Once the bobbin is unmovable, release the safety belt end that is housed in a cavity. Push and pull and the belt will be free.

Warning: As we can see the new black safety belt measures 4.7 cm. The old burgundy one is 4.8 cmm There is a difference of 1 mm. It does not alter the unrolling process. On the contrary if it were 1 mm more it would stick and the belt would not freely run. One millimeter more makes the difference and can not correctly run the slide on the bobbin.
