Once again I want to share a useful tip to make your own 'Automotive Headrest J clips'. Needless to say this tip is just in case we cannot find this accessory from a local supplier or upholstery store.
A small piece 3 cm wide of a thin 'galvanized steel sheet' 0.5 mm thick is useful to make the 'J clip' or 'Hook clip'. For the flat part that would be embedded in the hook part I have used a piece of flat plastic 1 mm thick and 10 mm wide.
The 'J clip part' is glued down to one of the vinyl/leather cover ends. For the opposite end the 'flat plastic piece' is sewn down to the other vinyl cover end.
I hope you find it useful!
