This video shows that an industrial sewing machine is basically a compound of 4 main parts that can be taken apart and assembled back together.
There are three well known kind of sewing machines: 1. Simple transport sewing machine 2. Double transport 3. Triple transport
Experts say the ideal machine to do upholstery is a single needle, walking foot/alternating feet (especially a triple transport) sewing machine.
All of these heavy duty machines are similar and are found in different trade marks.
A sewing machine is considered a MUST in an upholstery shop. That is why it is advisable to acquire some basics about the sewing machine we are working with.
