Today we walk around Cuenca Ecuador. We stop along the Broken Bridge near La Iglesia de Todos Santos, stroll the Rio Tomebamba, and grab a treat at Flora Caffe. Cuenca is a beautiful colonial city and very walkable, especially on such a beautiful day. I track some of our expenses and show some of the sights and sounds and costs of living in Cuenca. We love the culture, the food, and the excitement and challenge of living in Ecuador. And the the cost of living in Cuenca is great, too. But life in South America, as with most travels, will be easier if you leave your expectations at home and travel with an open mind.
