In this video, I drive a full lap of the custom track Autumn Leavesway backwards with the 3 mushrooms available in time trials. Because this doesn't actually require any of the mushrooms, I don't use them. In order for a track to count as being completed backwards, you must start in lap 1 and travel through all of lap 0 backwards, finishing by reaching lap -1. We will be going through the tracks of the CTGP 1.03-1112 update (29 Sep 2021) alphabetically, and returning to any past tracks if breakthroughs are made that change the statistics of the progression of the challenge (more on this later in the description).

Here, there are NO respawns that are mandatory to complete the track backwards, and there are NO sections requiring any mushrooms. This scenario is what I will be calling a "Complete Solution". It is the final product a track can reach after being improved by minimising respawns and minimising mushrooms.

For backstory, please see the first few videos' descriptions.

What I do in the video has undergone a lot of transformation that has been documented on my second channel (youtube.com/channel/UCGPuKK14yEQrqkkXV2NmYbA).

As I've been explaining in those shorter videos, there's 5 potential blockage points ("blocks"):
1. Getting up to the final wooden platform
2. Getting past the wooden platform
3. Getting past the sloped multi-ramp platform
4. Getting across the small gap after the split paths
5. Getting over the river crossing near the wigglers

Originally, skipping the 1st-3rd blocks was trivial shroomless with a respawn each, but I thought completing the track backwards was impossible, due to the checkpoint required to hit for the correct respawn at the 4th block being too far back. But, I then noticed the same checkpoint extended quite far to the side, which allowed me to skip the uphill section completely, as I could respawn in that checkpoint right before the 3rd block. From here, I could drive the rest of the track backwards, and simply use a trick boost to skip the 5th block (youtu.be/uKRQ0a3BKtU).

This would have been the stopping point, but I hadn't utilised any mushrooms. I first found it was possible to skip the 1st block by wallclipping with a mushroom, and tried to skip the 2nd with another mushroom chained mid-air, but didn't cover enough distance. From here I had the idea of intentionally getting less air so that I could get a bounce across the 2nd block with the downward speed I had, which was a success. Next, I found it was possible to skip the 3rd block without a respawn by using a trick boost from the lower ramp. Lastly, I used my third and final mushroom to wallclip and skip the 4th block. These in combination saved 3 respawns (youtu.be/Bb3byKRysHI).

I attempted to reduce the bounce strategy on the 2nd block from 1 mushroom to 0.5 mushrooms (i.e. requiring the previous one but not adding any additional), but it failed with flame runner (youtu.be/a9m28N8zv54) due to not getting enough distance. this is police then suggested that I use Spear, and it was an immediate success. In completing a full run with the new strategy, two faster strats (a miniturbo instead of standstill+trick at the 3rd block - found by me, and RFH instead of a wallclip at the 4th block - found by this is police) were also found (youtu.be/1PIL3XeG00Q).

After making that run, I was hopeful that the 1st block wallclip could actually be done shroomless, but had no plan for skipping the 2nd block shroomless, yet. this is police successfully got a 1st block shroomless clip, I managed to figure out a 2nd block shroomless clip, I also managed to get a higher 3rd block skip which cleared the landing ramp entirely, then after more testing, this is police got the 4th block shroomless clip. Since this meant a complete solution, EmuTheCat suggested we do a TAF-style ending and had a specific weird CT moment in mind, which I'm sure you noticed (cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/891072226340765707/920151450385006602/TAF_Trim.mp4).

In the process of finalising this video, I found an alternate strategy for skipping the first 4 blocks in one go using a seam ride and slow wheelie glitch, but because of the where the last KCP was, I had to redo the 3rd and 4th blocks, making it much slower. I realised the last KCP actually reached partially on to the ramp, so used a slow wall hug that let me climb slowly up to the KCP and back down again. I then used a GOOMBA SPIN-OUT to avoid the boost and saved the slow wall hug climb, saving time. This alternate strategy is of course shown in the second half of the video.

In summary, Autumn Leavesway has the following statistics to offer:
Minimum Respawns for Infinite Mushrooms: 0
Minimum Respawns for 3, 2, 1, 0 Mushrooms: 0, 0, 0, 0
Minimum Mushrooms for Minimum Respawns: 0
Minimum Mushrooms for Track Completion: 0
