Happy New Year everyone!
Now here is a truck I certainly wasn't expecting to see on the road in this day and age. A 1990 White-WhiteGMC Xpeditor with a classic Maxon Legal One front loader body! I've known about this truck for a while, and even saw it driving one of the last times I was out in the desert, but I never made an effort to film it. As luck had it, when a few of us went out there a few days after Christmas and after a snowstorm had dumped quite a bit of snow in the area the day before, we followed this truck out of the yard and to a few stops at a travel stop area in the Cajon Pass. I'm a little disappointed I didn't get more footage, and even though the wind might have ruined some of the shots, I'm still really happy to have taken advantage of this filming opportunity.
This truck is likely one of the last of its kind in SoCal and probably in most of the country as well. Who knows how this truck has passed emissions tests over the years... unfortunately, I don't see this lasting through 2020 on the road (CARB, I really hope you aren't watching this video!)
