While I've always been rather weary of buying anything from Crosley--or more accurately, whichever manufacturer is allowed to plaster the Crosley name onto its merchandise--but this was something of an impulse purchase.
The online store from which this was purchased had a generous return policy, and I really didn't have any plans of keeping it anyway; I just wanted to see if this was any better than their vintage "replica" stereo/turntable systems--it wasn't.
The only real thing this "replica" has going for it is its looks. It isn't exactly the epitome of high-quality craftsmanship and more of a novelty and conversation piece than anything else.
It's poorly built, the electronic ringer is worse than those found in even the cheapest of phones from the '90s, and you have to struggle to hear the person on the other end of the line, even after setting the receiver's amplification to its highest level. It was for these reasons, and more, that this was promptly returned the very same day I received it!
