In my crochet tutorial today I'll be showing you how to make this crochet rooster applique.

For this pattern you will need crochet cotton or wool, I used Scheepjes Catona crochet cotton colours (401) Dark Teal, (383) Ginger Gold, (208) Yellow Gold, (254) Moon Rock, (115) Hot Red, (162) Black Coffee and (189) Royal Orange. A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook. Scissors. Darning needle to weave in ends. Sewing thread and needle to stitch the rooster together. A small white bead for the eye.
The finished size will be 17.5cm x 15cm (6.75” x 6”) for the larger rooster, using 8 ply crochet cotton. The size of the rooster in Catona will be 14cm x 14cm (5.5" x 5.5"). The medium rooster will be 10.5cm x 11cm (4” x 4.5”) when using 4 ply crochet cotton. The small rooster will be 8cm x 8cm (3.25” x 3.25”) when using 2 ply crochet cotton.
