In my crochet tutorial today I'll be showing you how to make this crochet walrus applique.

If you would like to view the crochet pattern for free, it's on my website at kerriscrochet.com/crochet-walrus-pattern or you can download it from Ravelry at ravelry.com/patterns/library/walrus-11 for $1 at and LoveCrafts at lovecrafts.com/en-gb/p/catalog/product/view/id/367800

Terri from YarnJoy Podcast at youtube.com/channel/UC78JjAXKq6j79i5-N4TUZ4A will be making a baby blanket using this walrus to decorate it. Check out all the beautiful things Terri makes by visiting her youtube channel at the above link.

For this pattern you will need crochet cotton or wool, I used Scheepjes Catona crochet cotton colors (242) Metal Gray, (393) Charcoal, (074) Mercury, (162) Black Coffee and (106) Snow White. A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook. Scissors. Darning needle to weave in ends. Sewing thread and needle to stitch the walrus together.

The finished size will be 17cm x 17cm (6.5” x 6.5”) for the larger walrus, using 8 ply crochet cotton. The medium walrus will be 11.5cm x 11.5cm (4.5” x 4.5”) when using 4 ply crochet cotton. The small walrus will be 8cm x 8cm (3.25” x 3.25”) when using 2 ply crochet cotton.
