In my crochet tutorial today I’ll be showing you how to make this crochet elephant granny square applique.

For this pattern you will need any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used 8-ply yarn, which is light worsted in the US and DK in the UK in colors green, grey and white. A crochet hook, I used a 4.5mm hook. A darning needle to weave in ends, a pair of scissors. Sewing thread and a needle to stitch the elephant together. Black cotton to embroider on the eyes and the markings on the trunk.
The finished elephant granny square will be 13cm square or 5” square.
