In my crochet tutorial today I’ll be showing you how to make this crochet rocket applique.

For this pattern you will need any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Catona cotton colours (146) Vivid Blue, (115) Hot Red, (208) Yellow Gold, (189) Royal Orange and (173) Bluebell. A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook. A darning needle to weave in ends and a pair of scissors. Thread and needle to stitch the window to the rocket.
The finished size will be 10.5cm wide x 16cm high (4.5” wide x 6.25” high) for the larger rocket, using 8 ply crochet cotton. The size of the rocket in Catona will be 9cm wide x 14cm high (3.5” wide x 5.5” high). The medium rocket will be 7.5cm wide x 11.5cm high (2.75” wide x 4.5” high) when using 4 ply crochet cotton. The small rocket will be 5cm wide x 8cm high (2” wide x 3” high) when using 2 ply crochet cotton.
