NEW CROCHET BEANIE PATTERN ▶ This crochet beanie is really colorful and bright. The thing I love the most about this pattern is that we change colors WITHOUT ANY TAILS! You also don't have to carry your yarn around the row! It is quick and simple, and at the end of the beanie, you will only have a few tails to hide, and who doesn't love that?

Crochet Hook: G/6/4.25MM
Yarn: 3 Lightweight, Diva 100% Recycled Cotton Yarn, 3 Colors
2 Safety Pins

Crochet chevron brim according to precursor video up to 43 chevron stitches, then attach the short edges using SL stitches (shown in both videos). Cut and tie off yarn.
Row 1: Insert crochet hook in available loop on edge of brim near starting and ending tails. Yarn over with the next color. CH 2 and place 2 DC at the top of each chevron st for a total of 90 DC - including CH 2. SL st in the top of the 1st DC st to join. Secure loop that is on your crochet hook with a safety pin.
Row 2: Insert crochet hook in the 1st DC st, then yarn over with the next color. Working in current st first, alternate between placing FRONT and BACK POST stitches going around the row. Should end with the CH 2 post (90 total POST st). SL st in 1st POST st to join. Remove safety pin from loop in row 1 and replace with crochet hook. Insert safety pin into the loop from this row.
Row 3: CH 1, then alternate between BACK & FRONT POST stitches (this should be the OPPOSITE of what you worked in the previous row, meaning in every FRONT POST, place a BACK POST, and visa versa. SL st in 1st POST st to join (90 total POST stitches). Place a safety pin in this loop.
Row 4: Yarn over with the next color (should be the 3rd color), and start working the FRONT & BACK POST stitches (again alternating what you worked in the previous row). When you place the 1st POST st of this row, it might be helpful to hold on to the tail while you place the st.
Rows 5 - 21: Alternate between FRONT & BACK POST stitches, switching colors every row. My pattern was *Color A, then Color B, then Color A, then Color C* repeating * throughout the rows. When you want to “pull” a previous color, if it is Color A (for me this was the blue color), then CH 1, but for Colors B & C, CH 3 to bring the working yarn up to the current row.
Row 22: Place 1 decreasing POST st in each st in the row (45 total POST stitches). SL st in 1st POST st to join.
Row 23: Place 1 BACK POST st in st 1, then place 1 decreasing POST st in each st in the row (23 total st). SL st in 1st POST to join. Cut and tie off current color.
Row 24: Place 1 decreasing POST st in each st in the row (12 total POST stitches). SL st in 1st POST st to join. Cut and tie off current color.
Row 25: Place 1 decreasing POST st in each st in the row (12 total POST stitches). SL st in 1st POST st to join. Place SL st in the st across the small hole to close any gaps at the top of the beanie, then cut and tie off current color.
