Crochet Christmas Stocking Pattern:
Chevron Stocking Pattern:
Crochet Hook: G/6/4.25MM
Yarn: Size 4 Medium Cotton (Lily Sugar'n Cream, Red, White, and Tan)

NOTE: this pattern does have a precursor video (link below). For the precursor video, create 2 chevron brims, each with 25 chevron stitches in each. Join as shown in stocking tutorial video.

Once you have joined the two brims together, follow pattern below.

With Color B (tan), create a long chain rope. Remove crochet hook from chain rope loop so that you can add chains as necessary. Create a loop with the chain rope by inserting crochet hook in the 1st and 30th chain, then attach Color C (white) yarn to crochet hook using a slip knot (you should have both sets of chain loops as well as new color on crochet hook.

Row 1: Make sure brim is turned so the ugly side is facing outward still (for the entire pattern, we will work this inside out). Align the CH rope so that you can work OVER it. For the rest of the pattern, we will work OVER the chain rope we created. Add additional chains as needed to complete the pattern. Working in the available loops on the edge of the brim (and also working OVER the CH rope), place 1 SL st, then place 44 SC around the row. Usually, I work in the horizontal loops created by the chevron st, and place 2 SC in each of these sets of loops. You can make any necessary adjustments at the end of the row without compromising your pattern.
Row 2: Still working over the CH rope, place 1 SC in each st in the row (allowing the pattern to flow like a spiral rather than starting and stopping each individual row).
Rows 3 - 17: Repeat Row 2. Each row should have 44 SC st.
Row 18: End Row 17 to where, if you lay the stocking down flat, your crochet hook is on the OPPOSITE side as your CH loop (the loop you will use to hang the stocking). Place 5 SC stitches in the current st, marking the 3rd of the 5 stitches with your st marker. Place 1 SC in each of the remaining stitches in the row.
Rows 19 - 22: Repeat Row 18, placing the 5 SC stitches in the stitch you marked, marking the 3rd of the 5 stitches.
Rows 23 - 31: Place 1 SC in each st in each row.
Row 32: End Row 31 so that your crochet hook is on the SAME side as your CH loop (the loop you will use to hang the stocking). Marking the first of the following stitches, place **1 SC in st 1 - 6. SC 2together in st 7 & 8.** Repeat ** around the row (56 total SC st).
Row 33: Marking the first of the following stitches, place **1 SC in st 1 - 5. SC 2together in st 6 & 7.** Repeat ** around the row (56 total SC st).
Pull out the additional chains from your chain loop until you have one little loop stitching out of your last st, then insert your crochet hook in the loop. Yarn over and drop all loops on your crochet hook.
Lay stocking down flat and make sure your crochet hook is on the fold, on the same side as your CH hanging loop. If you aren’t on the fold, place SL stitches until you are.
SL st the corresponding stitches together, working all the way down the opening until your stocking is sealed shut.
Cut and tie off both strands of yarn.
Turn stocking right-side-out.
