NEW CROCHET STITCH TUTORIAL
How to crochet the chevron stitch? In this stitch tutorial, I show you how to create a chevron edge (for square patterns) or brim (for round patterns). This is a very unique and versatile crochet stitch that will enhance your future crochet projects!
Stitches used to create the chevron stitch brim:
Attach yarn to crochet hook using a slip knot: youtu.be/IsOvsrvJhN8

Single Crochet (SC): youtu.be/xppth_5GBzM
Triple Crochet (TR): shown in video
Crochet Chevron Brim:
Crochet Hook: G/6/4.25MM (can use any size for this stitch)
Yarn: 4 Medium (Patons Worsted Wool)
Attach yarn to crochet hook using a slip knot.
Row 1: CH 7, turn.
Row 2: Working in the BACK BUMPS, place 1 SC in each BACK BUMP (7 total SC st). CH 1, turn.
Row 3: Skip turning CH st, then place 1 SC in each st in the row (7 total SC st).
Row 4: Skip turning CH st, then place 1 SC in st 1. Working in the 4th BLO from Row 1, place 1 TR. Working in the top row again, skip the next st, then place 1 SC in st 3, 1 SC in the BLO of st 4, 1 SC in st 5. Working in the 4th BLO from Row 1 (same BLO you just worked in), place 1 TR. Working in the top row, skip the next st, then place 1 SC in the last (7th) st. CH 1, turn.
Row 5: Skip turning CH st, then place 1 SC in each st in the row (7 total SC st).
Row 6: *Repeatable CHEVRON ST* Skip turning CH, then place 1 SC in st 1. Working in the FLO from Row 4 (this is left over from the st where you placed 1 SC in the BLO), place 1 TR. Working in the top row, skip the following st, then place 1 SC in st 3, 1 SC in the BLO of st 4, and then 1 SC in st 5. Working back in the FLO from Row 4, place 1 TR. Working in the top row again, skip the following st, then place 1 SC in the last st in the row. CH 1, turn.
Rows 7 - ?: Repeat Rows 5 & 6 to build the body of the brim or band.
