In my crochet tutorial today I'll be showing you how to make this crochet Bavarian girl applique.

For this pattern you will need crochet cotton or wool, I used Scheepjes Catona crochet cotton colors (208) Yellow Gold, (105) Bridal White, (110) Black, (390) Poppy Rose, (254) Moon Rock, (201) Electric Blue, (173) Bluebell and (106) Snow White. A crochet hook, I used a 2.5 mm hook. Scissors. Darning needle to weave in ends. Sewing thread and needle to stitch the girl together and embroider on markings.

The finished size will be 8cm x 19cm (3” x 7.5”) for the larger Bavarian girl, using 8 ply crochet cotton. The size of the Bavarian girl in Catona will be 6cm x 14cm (2.25" x 5.5"). The medium Bavarian girl will be 5.5cm x 13cm (2.25” x 5”) when using 4 ply crochet cotton. The small German boy will be 4cm x 10cm (1.5” x 4”) when using 2 ply crochet cotton.
