In my crochet tutorial today I’ll be showing you how to make this crochet baby blanket applique.

For this pattern you will need any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used 8 ply yarn which is light worsted in the US and double knit in the UK. I used 7 100gm balls of the main colour and 2 100gm balls of the contrast colour. Crochet hooks, I used a 5.5mm hook and a 5mm hook but my tension is tight so use the hook you would usually use for the weight yarn. A darning needle to weave in ends. A pair of scissors. Appliques to add to the centre panel. Thread and needle to stitch the appliques to the blanket. Embroidery cotton to embroider flower centres.
