Do you feel like you can’t improvise on the drums - and you struggle to pick out parts by ear?
This can be super discouraging, because learning songs takes too long and you don’t feel creative at all.
Well, what if you could craft a dozen different grooves or fills on your own by the end of this YouTube lesson? What would that do for you? And what if that allowed you to also learn new grooves & fills by ear more easily?
Here’s the thing: Most drummers think that creativity on the drums is an advanced skill that only comes after a decade of learning. But the truth is, a total beginner can learn to improvise and create from day 1. And you’re no exception.
Today I’m teaching you what I call the “ONE Rhythm Exercise,” which is inspired by Ted Reed’s legendary method book, “Syncopation.”
You’ll be crafting your own grooves & fills, and more importantly you’ll learn what the core building blocks are for improvising and picking out drum parts in songs by ear.
My hope is that this will be super helpful, encouraging, and empowering for you - even if you’re a total beginner. YOU CAN DO THIS.
I believe that YOU can become the drummer everyone wants in their band. Anyone can learn the drums, and you’re far more capable of mastering this instrument than you think you are. Don’t sell yourself short!
