The Cotswold Way – a truly beautiful National Trail stretching just over 100 miles. It begins in the charming market town of Chipping Campden, meanders south through the heart of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and finishes in the historic City of Bath.
Join me on this series every Sunday as I set out to walk and film every single step of this stunning trail, sharing the entire journey with you from start to finish.
Part 15: Cold Ashton to Bath Racecourse – 6.46 miles (10.4 km)
Leaving Cold Ashton, the trail takes us down into the peaceful, secluded valley of Lower Hamswell, where the beauty of the landscape immediately makes an impression. We then face a climb to the historic site of the Lansdown civil war battle, a place rich with history. Keep an eye out for an eye-catching field of sculptures by David Michael Mores, standing in a circle near the 6th Green at Lansdown Golf Club.
From here, the trail levels out, passing the Little Down promontory hill fort before reaching the iconic Bath Racecourse, a familiar landmark that signifies we’re getting closer to our destination.
The section of the trail takes us down 656 feet (200 metres) and only ascends 369 feet (112 metres).

About Dave's Walks
Hi there, I‘m Dave! I've lived in the English Countryside all my life, and I love it! I enjoy walking, and couldn’t help but notice just how beautiful the UK can be away from the cities. I found myself inspired and decided to get some camera equipment and make some walking videos so I can share my walks of the beautiful countryside with everyone!
I mainly focus on small towns, villages, picturesque landscapes, rolling hills and mountains, forests and canals, all along the coastlines in England, Scotland, Wales, and who knows maybe one day further afar!

I use Davinci Resolve Studio 19 to do some really basic editing. Mainly making sure the sky isn't over exposed. It's from Camera straight to YouTube. No cuts, no fancy business, no talking, just walking.
