We took a quick weekend trip to our local Costco here in Central Illinois to see what kind of Nintendo Switch 2 stock they had on the floor, and we struck gold. We found some brand-new accessories and a very interesting new console combo bundle that you need to know about before you decide to upgrade your family's gaming setup!
🎮 Brand New Switch 2 Joy-Con Colors Spotted!
First up, let's talk about the controllers. Costco is currently stocking the brand-new magnetic Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Con sets for $89.99. While they have the standard launch colors available, what immediately caught our eye were the brand-new Purple & Teal, as well as the Orange & Blue colorways!
If you haven't seen these yet in person, there is no mechanical difference between these and the standard magnetic Joy-Con 2 controllers that came with your launch system. They still snap onto the screen with that satisfying magnetic click. While we are still crossing our fingers and hoping Nintendo eventually implements native Hall effect sensors in a future hardware revision to permanently combat stick drift, the fresh pop of color is absolutely fantastic. At $89.99, picking these up right off the pallet at Costco is a solid deal if you need an extra set for 4-player couch co-op.

Costco Has A New Nintendo Switch 2 Bundle, but Was The Previous Combo Better? Next up, we stumbled upon a brand-new Nintendo Switch 2 console combo bundle sitting on the endcap. The price tag on this new package is $519.00 (which saves you a few bucks versus the $524.99 it would cost to piece this all out separately). But before you throw it in your oversized shopping cart, there is a major catch you need to be aware of: unlike the highly sought-after launch bundles, this specific box does NOT include a pack-in game. That's right, there is no digital code or physical copy of Mario Kart World included in this package. So, what exactly do you get for your $519?

Plus, a full year of the NSO Expansion Pass gives you instant access to the classic N64, Sega Genesis, and Game Boy Advance libraries—which is perfect for enjoying those classic retro games with the razor-sharp, smooth pixels we love on modern displays. However, it is still a very tough pill to swallow not getting a flagship first-party title in the box.
Personally, if I were buying a system today, I think I would much rather hunt down the older Costco bundle that came with Mario Kart World so I could start racing right away, even if it meant I had to budget for the expanded storage card separately later on.
