Corticosteroids (Glucocorticoids) are medications used for their anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects to treat autoimmune flare ups and also other conditions including Giant Cell Arteritis. However, Corticosteroids (like Prednisone) can lead to a wide range of health consequences, including effects on the skin, bones and on the endocrine system, which we discuss in this lesson.
