The smallest possible loop in the lattice there goes through 10 units. When considering a string of 4 units within a helix section, then that part connects on 4 parts to 4 neighboring helices spiraling the other direction and of course to 2 other units within the helix itself. Thus that section connects to 6 other sections, the entire lattice can be split in such sections and altogether this leads to the conclusion that the lattice is a twisted variety on Schwarz' P surface.
Unfortunately, connections between units are not reliable, they tend to mess up the units. Also, the structure is not very strong, while attempting to finish the second layer, the first layer partially crumbled and I decided not to bother to build any further. Besides, just the first level by itself is visually most interesting, as there from one side the gaps are narrow-wide-narrow, whereas looking at the same gaps from the other side they are wide-narrow-wide.
