HD and headphones really make a difference.
First of all, I should have finished this months ago. I can't seem to finish any of my current projects so I'm just so relieved to see this done. Due to my program being updated I nearly lost all of my coloring/transitions for this one; not to mention I had to render it 12 times before it worked (I almost gave up, because seriously, 12 times).
This was requested/inspired by my friend Sullabib, and I was even surprised I never noticed how well this song fits for Coraline. Considering it's originally from the movie "Hocus Pocus" the match makes more sense (Black mysterious talking cat helping the main character to defeat a witch? Come on, It's perfect!). I need to say I'm a little disappointed with the ending, but I hope it wasn't a total fail and that you like it.
Let me just say lip-sync with stop motion is hard. I really wanted this to turn out beautiful not only because it was a request from someone I admire, but also because I love Coraline. I feel like today's movies for kids are a little too much sugary. I cannot say how many times I had nightmares as a kid because of kid's movies (The legend of the sleepy hollow, Sleeping beauty, Fantasia, The nightmare before christmas...) but at the same time they amazed me. So it did feel great to see a creepy/scary movie again. If you haven't watched it yet, I say take a look.
