Throwing the bubble up in the air in order to create the bulb may not be necessary for constructing the bulb, but it's fun. When observing the bubble as a polyhedron with 30 rhombic faces, the 30 rhombic octagons, then it is a rhombic triacontahedron. However, when observing it as a 122 faced polyhedron made with 12 decagons, 20 hexagons, 30 rhombic octagons and 60 squares, then I'm not sure about the proper name at present.
