The surface is a mixture of Schwarz' D surface and Schoen's I-WP surface, the D surface having tetrahedral chambers and the I-WP surface octahedral chambers. This surface has both, tetrahedral chambers being connected only to octahedral ones and octahedral only to tetrahedral.
