Control WiFi broadcast in UniFi with access point groups and achieve granular control over which access point broadcasts which WiFi network (SSID).
In certain UniFi deployments you might want to have a complete separation of WiFi SSID broadcast. for example if you have a main house and a guest house, each with their own dedicated WiFi networks. With UniFi access point groups you can achieve this separation pretty easily.
So, yes, you can control WiFi broadcast in UniFi with access point groups but let us make this extra clear, this isn't a security measure exactly so all the other security measures like separate vlans, isolation, firewall rules etc, all of these still very much apply.
Using the access point groups will allow you to control WiFi broadcast in UniFi with access point groups but it is still up you to secure the networks as needed. avoiding broadcasting WiFi networks where they are not needed is a best practice and might help a little against drive by WiFi sniffing attacks but the main goal is to save on precious "air congestion" and to provide a little bit more cleanliness.
