Comet 46P/Wirtanen is passing just 30 lunar distances away from Earth on December 15th and 16th 2018. With a variety of cameras and lenses and techniques I was able to capture motion timelapses of the comet against the background starfield. This video is a 'teaser' for an upcoming vlog where I will probably cover a variety of subjects about the comet, phtographing the night sky and meteors, as well as some of the science of the comet itself...Like why is it's coma or tail green?
