November 17th High Risk chase. This is footage from the Coal City, Braidwood and Wilmington, IL touchdowns. This same supercell produced the deadly Washington, IL tornado as well.
Due to the high speed/ High precipitation nature of these storms, The best plan of attack was to get into position out in front of the storm's inflow notch and observe from far away. While we expected the tornado's position to eventually come within a mile or two of our location, we ended up more than 5 miles from tornado at it's closest due to slight changes in the storm's track.
