While Saturday morning cartoons were a staple of the early 60s, 'The Bugs Bunny Show' took a different approach: airing in primetime on Tuesday nights. New linking material was produced for the show; these were well-intended but resulted in having to trim credits from the cartoons themselves. For many the show's most indelible memory is the theme song 'This Is It!', by Warner Bros tunesmiths Mack David and Jerry Livingston ('77 Sunset Strip'). It's a rousing Broadway-style curtain opener with Looney Tunes characters marching across the stage. After a few years Bugs and company would end up airing on Saturday mornings while extending their run to several decades. We have the original opening plus several later alternates that also used 'This Is It!'. Dozens of audio dropouts have been individually repaired for your listening pleasure.
