The sixth 'Supermarionation' series from Gerry Anderson, 'Captain Scarlet' was an earth hero who acquired a sort of indestructibility during battle with the Mysterons of Mars. Marionettes with more lifelike proportions were introduced, though they proved to be more difficult to maneuver. The 1967 series ran for 32 episodes. Theme music by Anderson regular Barry Gray. The closing theme ('Captain Scarlet') was revised later in the run with new lyrics performed by 'The Spectrum'.
