"I’ve always felt a need to work really, really hard - partially because it was ingrained in me by my mother.
In my career, I’ve thrown rave parties for money, started a financial forecasting company. I’ve worked at Myspace, Disney, Pandora Radio. I’ve been a dancer, a b-girl. I’ve worked as a hostess and a waitress in a restaurant. I’ve done social media for various clothing companies, and I’m a furniture designer.
I’ve always held back, and I think that probably a lot of people will do that. The older I get, the less I care. If I could do one thing it would be to just insert my level of confidence as an older woman into my younger self and to be a little bit more bold because at the end of the day there’s just not really that much to lose by doing that."
