“For a long time, when I was growing up, a lot of choices that I made in my life, I made after I had an argument with my mother. To hear that some of the choices that I made were because we argued — I think that would hurt her feelings. But I think it’s really a good thing.
Because, even when I would argue with her, I would still want her to be proud of me. I still think that all of the choices that I made have led me to who I am today, and I like who I am today.
So no, I guess I don’t really have any regrets.
If I got to the end of my life and I hadn’t done anything that was good or important — I think that would make me really upset, because it would mean my life would have been wasted.
If that happened, it would disappoint my mother, but I think in my mother’s eyes, I don’t think that there’s any way for that to happen. I think she already sees that I’ve done good things in my life.”
