Chrono Trigger: Enhansa Edition is a hack by inuksuk that rebalances things such as characters, equipment, techs, and so on to provide a harder challenge overall.

Crono's been tossed into prison by a very corrupt chancellor. His execution is 3 days away with a shorter timeframe if he's found guilty during the trial. There's a bag with 1 to 5 Ethers on the bed (dependent on how many jurors found you not guilty) with the mug on the table refilling hp & mp.
There's two things you can do here. It's possible for Crono to break out of jail or he can just wait until he's taken to where he'll be executed. I did the latter with a small timeskip.
The guards think they're going to execute Crono when he's put under the guillotine. Lucca busts in and knocks everyone out with her trusty Zonker-38 and frees Crono so they can escape.
One thing to note...normally that Zonker-38 was a cutscene only model gun. In this hack, it's an actual weapon for Lucca in combat and gives her a 80% chance to inflict sleep on biological enemies.
Snag the Bronze Mail from Crono's execution room, then exit south. Grab the Mid Tonic from the chest, then free the man. His name is Fritz and he asks you to come by his shop in Truce.
Outside of this room, you'll see a knocked out guard. Examining his body will net a Mid Tonic. This'll apply to almost any knocked out guards you see as well.
If you decide to go all the way west, you'll pass outside and get into one of the very few forced battles here against a pair of guards. Once they've been dropped, you can move west into a room with four staircases, one of which you come from, with two Blue Shield enemies attempting to block passage to the north or south.
Of the four staircases here, the northwest and southwest ones don't really lead to anything special, but the southeast one does lead to a guard that you can knock out. The switch he guards opens a treasure room with a pair of Mid Tonics & Ethers. There's also the matter of an Omnicrone coming to take back his treasure, but Lucca kindly Zonker-38s his face.
Back to where Fritz was, take the exit to the northwest. This leads to another set of four staircases. Take the northwest one first since it leads to a pair of jail cells, one of which has a hole in the wall. Head through this hole, the climb down to the entrance into another cell with a Shelter in a chest. Climb down in this cell and you'll find 1500G and a Lode Sword for Crono.
Backtrack to the second four staircase room, then take the northeast staircase to eventually get to the prison's entrance with one knocked out warden. Examine his body for five Mid Tonics, then check out the document on the table talking about a Dragon Tank. Save up, then take the northern stairs. Once you hear some rumbling, the jerkface chancellor decides to send said Dragon Tank to stop the duo.
The Dragon Tank consists of three parts...the head, main body, and a wheel. All must be destroyed to win the fight.
The head has two goals...heal all the parts of the tank and roast a single target with flames. The heal is rather weak, but the flame attack can sting for around 35-50 damage.
As for the tank body, it just launches missiles for roughly 15-20 damage on a target.
The gear tries to run over the duo, but it needs to charge up. Crono's second tech, Slash, will nullify this charging up.
Strategy is simple...take out the tank body first using normal attacks. When the wheel charges up, Crono should Slash on his next turn. Take the wheel out after the tank body is rendered inoperable, then the head will be an easy kill.
After the battle, the chancellor and two of his guards come in to try to repair it, but all they succeed in is providing a bridge for the heroes to cross once the tank blows up.
As the duo tries to escape the castle, they get swarmed by guards. Cue Marle in her princess attire coming out to scold the guards. When the king tries to tell her to forget about her friends and the day's events, Marle sheds her dress to go back to her normal attire, then books it out of the castle with Crono & Lucca.
As the trio runs from the pursuing guards, they find something quite interesting in the northeast part of the forest...a gate exactly like the one at the fair. The trio activates the gate and heads through.
On the other side? Some very...advanced technology, as if the trio went to a completely new world. Exiting outside reveals a very...apocalyptic world map. If you save your game, you'll find out why. The game doesn't explicitly say it, but the save screen claims this is the future.
Next time, we'll explore this strange world.
