Chrono Trigger: Enhansa Edition is a hack by inuksuk that rebalances things such as characters, equipment, techs, and so on to provide a harder challenge overall.
To get the patch, you'll need to join the NGPlus discord. A link to join it is located here:

Version being played: 0.4.4
Two Golems down, one crazy Queen Zeal left to attempt to stop. What better way to do so than with the Ruby Knife that Melchior handed to us....in theory. In reality? It's actually the Masamune and doesn't do enough to stop the Mammon Machine before Lavos is awakened...and boy is the alien lifeform NOT happy as a fight begins with it.
It is actually possible to win this fight against Lavos, but typically that only every happens in a New Game+ unless you grind mega high in this dungeon.
After the initial attack flatlines everyone, the prophet comes in and reveals his true form. Surprising nobody, it's Magus and he apparently wants a piece of Lavos. Queen Zeal the crazy psychopath says no as Magus tries an attack, fails miserably to do any lasting damage, then gets to join everyone else in flatlining on the floor. Zeal then decides Lavos gets to start sucking everyone in FFV Atomos style for a snack.
Crono though? He ain't going to let that happen as he gets up and goes right into Lavos's face. He gets rewarded with an earth shattering kaboom that, quite literally, deletes him from existence.
Outside the machine, everyone gets thrown out of it aside from the queen & Lavos. There's not much time as Schala uses the last of her pendant's powers to teleport everyone to safety. Good thing too because uncle Lavos decides to unleash some energy beams...but not ones that destroy the land it rises from, oh no. Try beams that fire into the sky. Say bye bye to the floating kingdom of Zeal cause it gets torn apart by the beams of destruction.
When the team wakes up, an elderly man informs them that nobody else was found, meaning what happened to Crono really did happen. No dream there I'm afraid.
I'm sure everyone has their own unique responses, but Marle seemed like the most appropriate one to have here, given how Crono was the first one she ran into long ago at Leene Square.
Still, as if he's a guardian angel, Marle's pendant is found on her shoulder. Even in death, Crono's protecting her to the very end.
We'll figure out next time what our plan of action is going forward.
