Showing off my current equipment, you may notice that I have a very excessive amount of bullets. Farmed them up from a polar bear encounter in Central Park for something in the next dungeon.

Speaking of that next dungeon, it's St. Francis Hospital. A short scene en route has Maeda explaining what happened to the monster that was born in Japan.

At the hospital, Eve is indeed here when Maeda feels heat outside the doors. Time for Aya to go in and deal with Eve's latest bid to further her evil plans...oh, and get a useless charm from Maeda to boot.

Inside, it's a little too quiet with no choice but to go to the elevators since all other doors are locked at present...which turns out to be a double troll brownie point win for Eve when she cuts the cables, sending Aya down to the basement, then cuts the power so she's stranded down there.

What Eve didn't count on is the fact there's three fuses spread out in the basement. Aya need only find those fuses and she can get the power back on.

Start by going south until the camera changes, then enter the door immediately to your north. There's three items inside with one of them shining up on the shelf, one of the three fuses you need. The other important item in the room is a M79 grenade launcher since it has an interesting ability on it, Acid Rounds. A weapon with this ability has a chance to inflict poison with every bullet fired.

One enemy that can be inflicted with poison is the enemy in the same room as that grenade launcher, a slime like enemy.

Enemies in the hospital for the most part are MUCH easier to deal with compared to the NYPD. The slime like enemies in question only have one attack where they toss their poisonous red core at Aya.

When you're done cleaning up in the room, take the door in the northwest out and head north until you reach a locked door, one that requires a keycard to unlock. Take the door next to the locked one.

Inside, there's a save point, a Medicine 3, and, in a drawer on the opposite side of the table the save is on, the Autopsy Key for another locked door in the area.

Head west into the next room where there's a Defense +1 or 2 in the SW chest and an enemy encounter with a new enemy in it, a large flyman. It has only one attack where it'll unga bunga rush right up to Aya and start spewing poison droplets at her feet, then fires off one more shot in Aya's direction.

Exit the room via the southeastern door to find yourself back in the hallway you came to after getting out of the elevator. There's one door to the south you haven't checked yet and it needs that Autopsy Key to unlock so head to it and open it up.

Inside, there's an encounter with a pair of flymen & slimes. Blow them up, then grab the Offense +1 or 2 as well as the Tool in this room, the go through the northeast door. The 2nd fuse is in the northeastern part of the next room as well as a B Vest 1 or CR Evade +1 & Blue Cardkey along the south side of the room.

Also, new enemy. This one is a ratman and probably the toughest normal enemy here. It has a melee attack as well as a fireball that bounces around the room for a short time.

Return to the locked door from before and use the Blue Cardkey to open it. Past the door is a chest with either a M10 or MicroUZ. Both are machineguns.

To the south is an Offense +1 or 2. Head back north and take the door on your right to a room with a Tool, Medicine 2, and the final fuse.

There's also a very interesting enemy, the mixedman. The only time it'll damage you is when you shoot it as it'll do a shockwave right after that inflicts slow.

The interesting part stems from the balls it shoots out. These bounce around the room, but only do pathetic contact bumps worth of damage. Thing is, the mixedman can keep spawning them until there's four on the field, but can eventually stop spawning them. If you keep killing them until the remaining ones get large, then kill everything, you get a Super Tool from this first one. That's why I did an edit since it takes literally 10-15 minutes to clean up all the spawns.

Afterwards, back out to the hallway and head to the fuse box. Connect the wire first, insert the fuses, then activate the power and the lights come back on. You can even take the elevator back up to the main floor now.

Head back to the save point in the foyer, murder the slimes, then head through the door to the north. Another fight later and two people are saved, one of which tells you of someone in the room next door that needs help.

Before that, go back to the NYPD and empty your inventory. In this room behind the cabinet is a hidden Trading Card. Thing is, you can check this spot multiple times and get as many cards as you can hold.

More next time!
