Christmas is pagan. Pat Robertson admits it on The 700 Club. In this clip, he openly says that Christmas trees, wreaths, mistletoe, and holiday displays come straight from Teutonic paganism—not Christianity. He laughs as he explains that these traditions would be more accurate as winter solstice celebrations for Thor and Odin.
Robertson also describes Saturnalia, a Roman festival of lawlessness, naked singers, and mass pagan celebrations. He explains that the church simply placed Jesus’ birth on December 25 to Christianize these pagan customs. He repeats: the tree is pagan, the mistletoe is pagan, the gifts are pagan—every bit of Christmas has pagan origins.
