One of my favorite railroads to see in the Midwest is the Chicago Metra commuter operation. Every day, hundreds of trains travel on about a dozen different commuter lines radiating out from the city. In this video, we'll explore Metra trains on several different routes at multiple new locations. We'll see just about every type of locomotive in the fleet including F40PH-2 types, F40PH-3, F59PH, F59PHI, MP36PH-3C, and the newest: SD70MACH. We'll also take a quick look at Metra Electric operations in Blue Island, Illinois.
