This video is of Colin, Dan, and myself in Chicago. So that means that the first scene is of the EJ&E. I origionally wanted to go out to the Freeport, but then Dan said that M337 already went through, so with that in mind I stook to my original plan, to head out to Eola for the state line. I usually take I-88 to 59 to Liberty, but now-a-days I take the Cindy Route, which is taking I-88 to 59 to Diehl Road. I'm glad I did. I look at the wayside, see that it's read, and my immidiate reaction was, "Oh shit did I miss something?" Then I look down the tracks at an EJ&E unit. I scramble to the parking lot where I parked the car when I had the flat tire, got my shots, freaked out for a few minutes, then he took off. The sounds of two EJ&E SD38-2's accopmanied with the Leslie RS3L horn will never stop being classic.

Before going to Naperville station I swung by Liberty, and caught this guy by itself yet powered on. Appearently it has been here for quite a while.

When I got to Naperville station, EJE 665 (Robby) was there. We were given candy from some old guy. I didn't eat it. Amtrak 381 stopped and proceeded from the station. We both got video.

The Metra's today ran down Main 2 due to track work in numerous spots where the new signals have been placed. Lots of horn between towns and crossings along the way into Ogolvie.

We had a lunar indication at Elmhurst. The slowness gave us the perfect chance to get the not so perfect picture out the front of the train. The C&NW twins lead LPJ02, and will depart right when we pass through.

At East Proviso we saw a freight about to come onto the main. The power was incredible! NS C40-8 lead an NS GP60 in the OLS scheme east an NS transfer from Proviso!

Lots and lots of action at Ogolvie Transportation Center today. Trains coming in and out, along with UPY 1433 switching bi-levels. Every crew member around was incredibly polite and nice, which I never expected to happen. The crew of the UPY MP15AC had to revved up their unit powering the other bi-levs in the consist. Metra's blew the horn because of track work just outside the station.
