We train winners around here. Both players in Chi Sau need to be winning, and forming successful muscle memory, We can free play for contact and testing for holes later, but we must first run the flow cycles for high reps. Otherwise, what are we testing anyway?
Si-Fu Alex Richter correctly defined Chi Sau as "clinging" instead of sticking in a podcast recently. I fully agree, a much better synonym. If two Wing Tzun players do not cling to eachother at the proper contact locations the flow cycle geometry will slowly deform. Neither beginner is perfect YET, so they must copperate together to ensure the very bestgeometry and forward pressure is activated.
