Chevrolet Silverado V8 Engine Production Line.
GM's aluminum die casting foundry in Bedford, Indiana will support the manufacturing of drive unit castings for the future Chevrolet Silverado EV and other existing casting applications.
Aluminum cylinder blocks, heads, and crankshafts are all manufactured for the Gen V V8 engine. The 5.3L and 6.2L engines are the most common types. Sierra, Silverado, Yukon, Tahoe, Escalade, and Camaro are among the cars that use these engines.
The V6 engine, V8 engine, and GF6 gearbox are manufactured at General Motors' St. Catharines Propulsion Plant (Canada), Bedford (Indiana, USA), and Romulus (Michigan, USA).
Aluminum cylinder blocks, heads, and crankshafts are all manufactured for the HFV6 engine. The 3.6L engine is the most common model. These engines end up in the following vehicles: Colorado, Traverse and Enclave.
