I enjoy hanging out with my friend Joe, he reminds me of things in my life, by telling me things from his life. We have done much, seen much and hopefully will see much more.
We NEVER know when this time out, will be our last time out. People tire of the trail, tire of the hassles and become land locked at home, rarely getting out and losing face to face contact with friends. It just happens. I like to think, I'll continue and keep going until I find my fate on the trail somewhere, of in some gully, canyon or river. We don't just wake up one day and say, "hey, this is going to be my last time out, or my last time getting together with my friend", It just happens and one day we ALL, will look back and be able to pinpoint the last time you were out together.
But I can feel the power in me diminishing, my concentration dulling, my time is coming. It feels very strange to feel time catching up to me! We come into this world and have a limited time, only so much time. Out of this, I've done the best I could, seen the most, experience the most, experienced the most and greatest variety of people I could have. It has been a really good run with some incredible people and some real magic! I am NOT a proud person, as I believe pride is one of our downfalls, that lead us off track, but I am a grateful man! Grateful of the parents that raised me,, the options they set in play for me and each and every friend I have made along the way. It was them/you, who I directed my choices off and pulled me in the directions I chose' I may have never became rich but I have found so many pots of gold in my life you'd not believe. I am rich in my own way. My head if full of wonderous stories and magic. I have shared it with thousands.
Yes, there was always a better way, a more peaceful and humane way. but making the right decision is not always easy.
Yes, I believe I have lead the best life I possibly could have, given the constant battle in my own mind to do the right thing. If I have ever wronged you, for that, I am sorry. Let us get together a.s.a.p. and resolve things, as we never know when our last time out will have been reached!
