I am 60 years old in this year of 2026 Back 55 years ago, on the north east bank of Laguna lake in Fullerton, I went on my 1st fishing trip with my older brother and my dad. We woke before sun rise, had bacon and eggs, then arrived at the lake. I remember everything about that day. I dug the worms with my dad the day before. He set my rod up, baited the hook and my bother told me how to cast my blue handled old school rod with a trigger grip. I casted and the bobber went under. I hooked it and reeled in my first fish. We threw it back and saved only a few big ones for dinner. Since then, I have fished all over, including Russia and even some fish out of the Sea Of Galilee in Israel. My daughter one a fishing tournament at the same lake I learned to fish at, when she was 7, I believe. She won a rod and reel combo for a stringer of Channel cat.
I have lures that I still fish, and they still produce, that are older than most of you that watch my videos.
