This is a very cheap little unit but I still expected it to work a bit better. I bought this as a toy more than a serious instrument, but the performance is very poor, and very inconsistent. It reads a bit out and cant be trimmed to get it to work any better. It cost about £5 or $7 on bay or mazon. UPDATE I set this for a regular 4 stroke engine, but, my ignition system employs a wasted spark, causing it to read twice the speed, so I have reset it to position S1 which is for my type of system.
