Judges Review:
You definitely stood out as far as the editing style for this round. While your competition in this round went for slow and emotional, you went for fast and beaty and we definitely enjoyed it, even if it was somewhat unexpected. First off, your timing throughout the video was on point. The internal movement was great and the song choice was very original. The effects were well done also. The static effect you used matched the song perfectly and it was used at all the right moments during the song. It was as if we could hear the static sound throughout your entry. We really loved how intense you made the movie in the video and how despite the scene movements being fast, everything was easy to pick up on. All in all, we really enjoyed your entry and that made it so much harder to try narrowing it down to a winner. As we looked at your past entries, along with your entry with this round, we finally decided that it is you who deserves to take the title as the winner of Bet on it Competition this season! Thank you for participating and we would like to congratulate you on winning the first season of BOIT!

Wow. I can hardly believe that this is my final entry for the BOIT competition. This challenge the judges gave us free reign. And that is hard. With no guidelines and direction, I had no idea where to start. I think I started about 3 or 4 different projects and I had about 5 different ideas, but I finally decided on this one. I settled on this for a few different reasons.
The first was because the judges asked us to still pick something that would be a challenge. I chose this song because for me, vidding without lyrics is more difficult than vidding with them. I made sure not to stray away from my normal editing style.
I chose Prince of Persia because it is one of my all time favorite movies. I LOVE everything about it, especially the cinematography. Another reason I chose this was because the judges have already seen me use dialogue and tell a story, but with this vid its just me having fun with an epic song and an epic movie. ;)
I wanted to say thank you so much again for allowing me to participate in this competition. I have had *so* much fun throughout this entire experience. The challenges have forced me to come out of my comfort zone and try things I never would have imagined. I believe that this has definitely helped me grow as a vidder. ;) So thank you, Ive really enjoyed it. :)

I have seen alot of maniped vids to this trailer using many of my favorite shows/movies including Fringe and Doctor Who, but after SweetLadyBats genius Lord of the Inception I decided to make my own.
I rewatched the original trailer and was surprised at how many similar shots there are in Stargate SG-1, because of that this vid was so much fun to edit.

Ah the fabulous Booker boy.
When Dennis Bookers(Richard Grieco) character was first introduced on Jump Street, I have to admit I didnt like him, but after his closing scene at the end of the intense frat episode, Hell Week, I was hooked I mean, modern Fonzie? Booker Rocks!
One of my favorite pictures of Grieco has to be from 1990, where hes sitting infront of a portrait of James Dean...why, because its him. Booker is everything rebellious but tempered with a heart of gold. An ex cop turned P.I., Dennis is a menace for justice a one man army against the world. Hell break all the rules to bring the baddies down, but he always finds the time to listen to and help the individual people that he meets. Not only does he grow immensely as a character himself, but every episode finds him imparting what hes learned to everyone else in the form of an inspirational speech.
I love the spinoff, Booker as much as Jump Street (I highly recommend both). Its well paced, with clever storylines, and a great sense of humor. Not to mention, a ton of cameos/regulars by later Stargate (and Sanctuary) actors, including but not limited too: Carmen Arengziano, Christopher Judge, Don S.Davis, Gary Jones, Jay Brazeau, Ian Tracy, Garwin Sanford, etc.
I chose this song because for me it is Booker. While everyone else around him is living everyday the same, hes thrill seeking. Whether it be deep-cover drug busts, freeing hostages, infiltrating as a hot handyman (cliché, right ;), stalking a serial killer, or even undercover street hooking he does it his way regardless of what anybody else says. Everyone who disagrees with him is a robot surviving solely on the boring coffee and donuts of life, or as Dennis loves to point out with distaste eating Twinkies.
Its because of his passion and emotional drive for what he does that people tend to think hes nuts, or at times borderline cruel. Bookers half insane plans and actions appear reckless to his friends, co-workers, and even enemies but crazy is simply a matter of perspective.

Paradox: science vs. faith
The main goal of this video is to pull out the spiritual undercurrent of a scientific show. Fringe is based heavily on shock value, with gross-out guts and inventive, but appalling, deaths. Its meant to make your skin crawl at the idea of what your own body could do if given the right conditions. Yet despite the mutations and butchered experiments, there also lies a profound human drama. A side of the show, which repeatedly admits that man is just a man, and despite the science, he can never be God.
Matthew 6:25-34:
